Recently, Apple unveiled the iPad Pro 2021 devices and later put it up for pre-booking in some countries, and the devices have already begun to reach users, and with that the results of the performance tests of Apple's M1 processor begun to reveal , which is used for the first time in the iPad series, as it did with Mac devices

IPad Pro 2021 ... 50% faster than the previous version

After reviewing several performance test results for iPad Pro 2021 with an M1 processor on the popular performance testing platform Geekbench, it scored an average of 1720 points in the single core test and about 7300 points in the multiple cores test.

The iPad Pro 2021 devices are the fifth generation of the iPad Pro series that began to be launched in 2015, and if we compare these new numbers with the previous fourth version (iPad Pro 2020), we find that it achieves on average in the single-core and multi-core test of its A12Z processor about 1120 and 4,650 points, respectively.

With them, things are differentiated and by comparing these numbers with those, we find that the performance of iPad Pro 2021 devices is 50% superior to the previous version thanks to the new Apple M1 processor, which is in line with Apple's promotional claim for the device when it talked about raising the level of performance by 50% - this was not Really exaggeration!

Performance rival MacBook devices!

The Apple M1 processor was used for the first time in MacBooks before Apple currently began using it on iPad Pro 2021 devices, so it is natural for the performance to be close, thus bridging the gap between the performance of Apple iPad Pro tablets and MacBook laptops!

Let's review some numbers and results of multiple cores tests for some devices according to the Geekbench platform:

MacBook Air with M1 processor scored 7400 points.
IPad Pro 2021 with an M1 processor, a score of 7,300 points.
MacBook Pro with Intel Core i9 processor, it scored 6850 points.
IPad Pro 2020 with A12Z processor scored 4,650 points.

Only a quick glance at these numbers can tell the difference that the new M1 processor makes in the 2021 iPad Pro series, whether with a 12.9-inch or 11-inch screen.

Graphics performance test

Using Metal's graphics performance benchmark and graphics support platform, the iPad Pro with the M1 processor scored over 20,000 points, meaning a 70% advantage over the previous version.

Realistically, it is assumed that these results and figures will be reflected in the actual experience of using the iPads, which are almost alone in the tablet market, with a very large difference from the nearest competitors.

The Apple M1 chip includes an octa-core processor: 4 cores for high performance and 4 cores for normal performance. There is also an eight-core graphics processor and an artificial intelligence processor, and the storage memory and random memory are installed on the same chip.

The iPad Pro devices with an M1 processor are expected to reach users who made pre-reservations these days, and it will be launched in the market starting from the end of this May and throughout the following months of 2021.
